Thanks to everyone for their support and participation in Volunteers of America’s Operation Backpack initiative this year. With the help and generosity of FTF staff members and peers, FTF collected backpacks overflowing with school supplies for homeless children in NYC. These backpacks were pooled with other donated backpacks from companies and individuals throughout the boroughs to produce over 13,000 fully-filled backpacks! We are extremely proud of Operation Backpack’s success and the shelters were ecstatic when the deliveries arrived.
