Banking systems vendor Temenos has opened a new office in Helsinki, Finland, part of a larger bid to increase its presence in the Nordic market, officials say.
The new Helsinki office will operate under the umbrella of a recently announced “Nordics HQ” in Copenhagen, which will function as “the central hub, while the Helsinki location will enable Temenos to provide optimal support to local clients and staff,” according to a company statement.
The Helsinki office will be headed by Steen Jensen, head of Northern Europe for Temenos, who has more than 30 years of experience in the region, officials say.
“We already have a strong resource base in Finland and have seen a strong increase in opportunity within this market, especially around the moving of legacy systems to new platforms in order to reduce cost and increase flexibility,” says Steen Jensen, in a prepared statement. “The new office will provide a local point of contact with a team focused on services and support that will enable us to continue to deliver the quality service our customers expect from us while we continue to grow.”
