Openlink, a vendor of trading, treasury and risk management solutions, reports that it has promoted internally to replace John O’Malley, the CEO for the past two years, with Rich Grossi who moves up from his post as chief technology officer (CTO).
O’Malley will move into the role of executive chairman of the Openlink board, “where he will continue to support the strategic direction of Openlink Financial,” officials say. The vendor serves the energy, commodities, corporate and financial services markets.

He has also played an instrumental role in the development of Openlink Cloud and has been guiding its subsequent growth,” officials say.
In addition, Grossi directed Openlink’s global operations, “where he helped enhance the company’s sales and management processes … Rich has worked closely and collaboratively with Openlink’s sales, services, systems, finance and product teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of delivery across the enterprise,” officials add.
Before joining Openlink, Grossi was vice president of development at KWI, where he led the technical management of internal software applications.
The leadership change marks the launch of Openlink’s new global brand, positioning and website, officials add.
