SmartStream Technologies, the financial transaction lifecycle management specialist, reports that Daniel Pedersen has been named to head sales and business development in Europe.
He will report to SmartStream CEO Philippe Chambadal.
Prior to joining SmartStream, Pedersen, a veteran with more than 20 years in financial services, worked for four years at RiskMetrics, “where he held a number of sales and sales management roles, and subsequently at MSCI following its acquisition in 2010,” according to a SmartStream statement.
“Previous to this, Daniel was at BNP Paribas where he worked in structured equity derivatives, based in London,” according to a vendor statement. “Earlier he was with Deutsche Bank where he worked in sales and structuring for global markets and strategic equity transactions covering both Scandinavia and Germany.”
In the statement, CEO Chambadal took note of Pedersen’s “multilingual skills and extensive experience with European banks,” adding that “he will play a key role in our strategic European initiatives.”
