OTC Link ATS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of financial marketplace OTC Markets Group, has appointed Michael T. Corrao as its chief compliance officer (CCO). Corrao held the same post at the former Knight Capital Markets, officials say.
In his new role, Corrao will be responsible for “all aspects of the firm’s broker-dealer compliance program and will focus initially on coordinating the firm’s compliance with the SEC’s Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity (Regulation SCI).” Corrao will report to Michael Modeski, president of OTC Link ATS, officials add.
“We continue to focus on regulatory compliance as a cornerstone of our operations, and we are excited to add a highly respected, experienced chief compliance officer in Mike Corrao,” says Modeski, in a prepared statement. “With the introduction of the SEC’s Regulation SCI and our unique position in the market, a strong compliance function is essential to our future growth and success. I look forward to working closely with Mike as we build out our compliance processes and continue to provide services that solve problems for our subscribers.”
Corrao joins OTC Link with more than 25 years of experience in broker-dealer compliance, including his tenure as CCO of Knight Capital Markets, now known as KCG Holdings, for nine-plus years and most recently worked as a consultant focusing on broker-dealer trading and surveillance compliance in the regulatory risk practice at Big Four professional services firm KPMG.
