New financial technology vendor Eventus Systems is debuting the Validus platform, which features “multi-stream data reconciliation,” officials say.
The vendor says the platform is “a new way to capture and organize data flows and then process, reconcile, transform and pipeline that data in order to accurately report on risk,” officials say. “The platform is built to deliver scalability and high performance, with the proven ability to process billions of messages.”
Validus is an enterprise-wide, run-time platform for trading risk and compliance, across front-, middle- and back-office functions, officials say. Validus was built within RGM Advisors, an automated trading firm, and provides surveillance of the trading enterprise.
Eventus is led by CEO Travis Schwab, the former CEO of RGM Securities, managing director at RGM Advisors, and managing director at Trading Technologies, Inc. Jeff Bell, who is president of Eventus, is the former the CEO of Lime Brokerage and executive vice president and head of the clearing and technology group at Wedbush Securities.
“From our broad capital markets experience inside of trading, brokerage and clearing firms, we recognized that organizations need an independent source of information,” Schwab says in a prepared statement. “This was the genesis of Validus – to empower key stakeholders responsible for their organization’s governance, including board members, executives, risk managers and compliance officers, with a way to know the definitive moment-to-moment health of their trading enterprise.”
Firms need “a run-time solution to identify and address risk issues immediately,” says Bell. “Through the latest advancements in data management, we’ve created a platform that will give all key stakeholders, including risk managers and compliance officers, peace of mind, knowing that they have a truly independent and comprehensive assessment of their financial, regulatory, counterparty, operational and technology risk at all times.”
