SimCorp, a provider of investment management software and services, has enhanced the Data Warehouse Manager (DWM) and introduced other changes in the latest release of the SimCorp Dimension platform, version 5.6, according to a company statement.
The new version of SimCorp Dimension augments the DWM by introducing an Investment Management Warehouse, a comprehensive investment management data model for buy-side asset owners and managers, according to the statement.
The new DWN provides an all-in-one toolbox to integrate data from different sources and has been tailored exclusively to buy-side managers.
The SimCorp Dimension upgrade also introduces new front office compliance functionality, an alerts inbox for the middle office that provides instant overviews of risk calculations as well as workflow automation and a comprehensive overview of collateral management activities for the back office.
Version 5.6 will be the latest version of SimCorp Dimension until the next version is released in February 2015, officials say.
“The latest release is a response to the growing need for better transparency of processes and data,” says Klaus Holse, CEO at SimCorp, in a written statement. “Our substantial and ongoing investment in R&D allows us to evolve our overall data strategy of ensuring improved data quality, timeliness and accessibility, which is crucial for a firm’s ability to have complete data in the investment decision making process. SimCorp’s established investment book of record coupled with the new investment management data warehouse are at the very core of this strategy.”
