Abacus Group, a provider of hosted IT solutions for hedge funds and private equity funds, has named Jonathan Bohrer, a former ConvergEx Group managing director, to be its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Bohrer, an industry veteran, will oversee the company’s financial and accounting activities, along with other administrative and operational functions, including human resources, real estate and legal, officials say. He will be based in New York and will report to Chris Grandi, Abacus Group CEO, the company says.
Most recently, Bohrer was managing director of finance at ConvergEx Group, where he was responsible for financial analysis, M&A, capital planning and new product development, according to the Abacus statement, and while there “led efforts on several corporate transactions including five acquisitions (LiquidPoint, Millennium, NorthPoint, Cogent and Realtick) and the sale of Eze Software Group in 2013.”
