Options, a private financial cloud provider for the capital markets industry, reports that it has opened a new office in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The office is expected to create a total of 31 new financial technology jobs, according to a company statement.
Options currently employs more than 100 staff globally and has already started hiring in Northern Ireland, recruiting in the areas of client support, account management, marketing and engineering, the company says.
The company points out that, in choosing to locate in Belfast, it joins such financial services firms already in Northern Ireland as CME, Citi Group and NYSE.
The Belfast expansion will be “part-supported by Invest Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland’s economic development agency,” the statement notes.
“The burgeoning financial technology sector here, coupled with a dynamic, motivated and highly educated workforce, makes Belfast a perfect fit for Options,” says Danny Moore, chief operating officer for Options, says in the statement. “I fully expect Belfast to be an integral part of Options’ future growth.”
