SimCorp, an investment management solutions and services vendor, has entered into an agreement with MSCI, a provider of investment decision support tools, to support a direct data and analytics link between SimCorp Dimension and the MSCI RiskManager platforms.
A future connection to MSCI’s BarraOne product also is planned, according to a SimCorp statement.
The new interface, now available, enables common clients of SimCorp Dimension and MSCI RiskManager to obtain risk analytics more efficiently, officials say.
The link will facilitate an integrated workflow by loading SimCorp Dimension data into MSCI RiskManager and MSCI RiskManager risk analytics into SimCorp Dimension, SimCorp says.
This new workflow will “allow common clients to reduce operational complexity and make better informed investment decisions using a clearer picture of their risk exposure,” while SimCorp Dimension clients will have “back-testing, value-at-risk (VaR) calculations, historical data, and analytics from MSCI RiskManager easily accessible on-screen,” according to the statement.
