DTCC and Deri/SERV Promote for Executive Posts
The DTCC will have a new chief financial officer and chief technology officer in September and new leaders for its over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives services unit Deriv/SERV as a result of several internal promotions at the industry utility.
Susan Tysk-Cosgrove, the current general manager, settlement and asset services has been promoted to succeed Ellen Fine Levine who will move from CFO to the newly created position of executive client officer. In another executive level move, Lynn Bishop has been named chief technology officer, say DTCC officials.
For her new post, Levine will focus on DTCC’s client coverage strategy for top and middle market clients globally, say DTCC officials. As CFO, Cosgrove will oversee the DTCC’s global finance and treasury team. Daniel Thieke has been promoted to the post of general manager, settlement and asset services, replacing Cosgrove. Thieke has been serving as managing director, asset services, overseeing day-to-day operations.
As CTO, Bishop will oversee the DTCC’s infrastructure and IT capabilities thatsupport DTCC’s key business priorities, say company officials. Bishop is already a member of DTCC’s IT senior leadership team as managing director, clearing services applications development and maintenance team. For the ADM team, she has been leading all applications development, supporting DTCC’s equities, fixed income, wealth management services and insurance businesses.
The company has also made several other staff changes for Deriv/SERV, including:
- Naming Alexander (Sandy) Broderick to the post of CEO of DTCC Deriv/SERV. Broderick will be based in London, and will oversee the DTCC’s OTC derivatives global post-trade processing and trade reporting services. Broderick is currently CEO of the DTCC’s New York Portfolio Clearing and over the coming months will have dual responsibilities and continue to lead NYPC as he transitions to his new role, say DTCC officials.
- Appointing Stewart Macbeth to the newly created position of chief product development officer, focused on the DTCC’s efforts to expand this business. Currently the CEO of DTCC Deriv/SERV, Macbeth for his new role will expand his current efforts on transforming ongoing regulatory and industry requirements into new products and services for DTCC’s OTC derivatives clients globally.
In other Deriv/SERV news, the DTCC has expanded the responsibilities of Chris Childs, Deriv/SERV’s global chief operating officer to include all derivatives business and product management, say DTCC officials. In addition, Marisol Collazo assumes the position of US CEO for the DTCC Data Repository and will work with key regulatory bodies. Peter Tierney continues as the head of OTC Derivatives, Asia.
Fundtech Hires from Calypso Technology
Transaction banking services vendor Fundtech has hired Chris Zingo as global head of sales from Calypso Technology, say Fundtech officials.
Zingo will oversee Fundtech’s global sales organization including sales teams in the Americas, EMEA and Asia/Pacific, and the recently formed pre-sales and sales operations groups, say Fundtech officials. He will report to Edward Ho, Fundtech’s president and chief operating officer.
At Calypso, Zingo held the post of senior vice president of global sales and marketing. He was responsible for a global go-to-market strategy for an expanded global footprint in Latin America, Russia, China and Southeast Asia, and the top spot on the IBS Sales League Table for new client acquisitions in capital markets for three years running, say officials.
Prior to Calypso, Zingo was senior vice president, sales and marketing for SuperDerivatives, a vendor of cloud-based market data, derivatives trading technology and analytics. He was also a managing director and senior vice president at Thomson Financial focusing on corporate and institutional sales. He started his career as a regional sales manager for Bloomberg Financial.
G2 FinTech Adds to Client Services and Sales Teams
Tax analysis and compliance software upstart G2 FinTech has added Peter Kohli to its client services
staff and Megan Bilkie to its sales team, say officials. Prior to working at G2 FinTech, Kohli worked with the IT asset management team at Franklin Templeton Investments, where he helped to standardize and document processing flows and develop a method to consistently record new hardware in asset-tracking, say G2 FinTech officials. Before G2 FinTech, Bilkie was with GFI Group where she managed, marketed, and implemented the EnergyMatch service and trading platform to key accounts, say officials.
