Clearwater MLx is intended to provide more data about mortgage loan investments.
Clearwater Analytics says its latest offering is addressing the needs of investors who need access to “essential data for mortgage loan investments.”
The provider of investment management, accounting, reporting, and analytics solutions — offered on a software as a service (SaaS) basis — is launching Clearwater MLx, described as “an all-in-one solution for mortgage loan investors,” officials say.
“Traditionally, legacy solutions have focused on servicing and operations, neglecting the needs of investors who require access to essential data for mortgage loan investments,” Clearwater officials say.
The new offering “fills this gap by offering investors necessary oversight and reporting capabilities to effectively navigate the complete lifecycle of their mortgage loan investments,” officials say.
The new solution offers risk reporting, servicer tracking, oversight, and accounting.
Clearwater MLx offers investors “insights into exposures and common risk factors such as geography and property types. By accessing the information on properties and aggregating exposures to tenants and borrowers with those same counterparties in other areas of their clients’ investment portfolios, investors can make informed decisions based on a comprehensive understanding of these factors and their impact on their overall investment strategy,” according to the announcement.
Specifically, the vendor says Clearwater MLx offers investors:
- Views of “their allocation by property type, geographic region, coupon, duration bucket, quality, capital charge, and more;”
- Automated loan analytics to review potential risks;
- Information about the “total exposure to specific issuers across all asset classes;”
- The automation of loan data aggregation, accounting, and reporting;
- A synthesis of “data from multiple sources, including deal documents, servicer statements, and property management systems;” and
- “Model and forecast cashflows on complex loan structures, including construction loans, reperforming loans, and mezzanine loans.”
“Our solution puts clients in control of their property investments by offering them an accurate view of their mortgage loan portfolios,” says Sunil Dixit, chief product officer at Clearwater Analytics, in a prepared statement.
