Bloomberg Terminal users can access securities lending data from the Orbisa service.
EquiLend, a data and analytics provider for the securities finance industry, has launched a securities lending data service, dubbed Orbisa, and it has been made available via the Bloomberg App Portal, officials says.
Operated by EquiLend, Orbisa “has a dataset comprising $32 trillion of global lendable equity and fixed income securities. Bloomberg Terminal users can now subscribe to the Orbisa app to have a view into all active securities lending markets worldwide, covering a range of securities lending metrics across more than 196,000+ individual securities,” according to EquiLend’s announcement.
Adding the Orbisa app to the Bloomberg App Portal will also provide end-users with metrics such as “financing rates, borrow demand, short interest indicator, availability, liquidity, and ‘hotness’ measurements,” officials say.
Bloomberg Terminal subscribers “will be able to make more informed investment decisions with unprecedented insight into the securities lending market with Orbisa real-time data,” says Nancy Allen, global head of data and analytics solutions at EquiLend, in a prepared statement.
Bloomberg Terminal users can log in and subscribe to Orbisa via the App Portal, officials say.
More information about using Orbisa via the Bloomberg Terminal is available via the email address: app_portal@bloomberg.net.
