The firm says it will use Broadridge’s systems to expand its prime brokerage business and other efforts.
AmInvestment Bank, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has deployed a securities finance and collateral management platform from Broadridge Financial Solutions to help the firm expand its prime brokerage business lines and boost its value proposition, officials say.
The investment banking arm of the Ambank Group, AmInvestment Bank officials say that the single platform allows the bank “to simplify and innovate trading, manage collateral, and handle trade lifecycle events while integrating seamlessly with their existing systems,” according to the announcement.
The Securities Financing and Collateral Management platform is a front-to-back, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for securities finance that targets global buy- and sell-side securities lending, repo, and collateral trading markets, according to Broadridge.
“An increasingly sophisticated and volatile market has made securities finance an important focus of our growing prime brokerage business,” says Ms. Tracy Chen Wee Keng, CEO of AmInvestment Bank, in a prepared statement.
“Additionally, we are now able to manage the operational aspects of securities lending more effectively,” the CEO adds.
AmInvestment Bank offers investment services, products, and solutions for corporate, retail, and institutional clients such as corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions advisory, equity capital markets fundraising, debt and Sukuk capital markets services, and stockbroking, officials say.
The firm also provides fund management services via its private banking department and fund management arm, AmInvest, the brand name used by our subsidiaries, AmFunds Management Berhad and AmIslamic Funds Management Berhad.
Broadridge offers a variety of securities operations systems, solutions, and services for banks, broker-dealers, asset and wealth managers, and public companies.
