Abacus Group , a provider of cloud and hosted IT solutions for hedge funds and private equity firms, has released FileDriver, a new service that automates routine file transfers and protects businesses against disruptions caused by failed file transfers, according to a company statement.
FileDriver aims to reduce time spent troubleshooting for failed file transfers by sending real-time alerts to a customizable list of users when systems experience technical challenges, allowing users to quickly identify and react to the problem.
The service also features automated file transfers, a customizable transfer schedule, intelligent, scenario-based email alerts and will automatically retry if initial transfer attempts fail, according to the statement.
“Operations managers today need to do more with less. This means they need low-maintenance tools that automate routine tasks, while making them aware of process failures and exceptions,” says Christopher Steele, director of software services at Abacus Group, in a written statement. “Abacus Group’s FileDriver service provides managers with these benefits, thanks to proprietary artificial intelligence that provides transparency and automation even when things don’t go as expected.”
Abacus Group provides several different services via its cloud-based platform, which is hosted at data centers throughout the U.S.
