The bank has tapped Levi9 Technology Services to help launch an IT center for customers.
ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) and Levi9 Technology Services are collaborating to open an IT hub in Romania to better serve AACB clients via “global, high-end, and fast solutions,” officials say.
The hub, based in Iași, Romania, will bring together Levi9 and AACB staff who will focus on “multiple IT applications and infrastructure,” officials say.
AACB offers clearing, custody, financing, and risk management for multiple financial markets.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, Levi9 Technology Services provides nearshore, customized software engineering services and has development and delivery centers across Serbia, Ukraine and Romania, officials says.
“A couple of deciding factors for this choice were the availability of qualified personnel, the minimal time difference with the Amsterdam headquarters, and the status of Romania as a member of the European Union,” according to the announcement.
“Levi9 has a lot of experience with attracting personnel from different parts of Europe, for example, Romania, a country where they have successfully been present for 17 years,” according to the announcement. “This collaboration provides opportunities for growth, digital innovation, and quality, and for customers, a better and quicker collaboration.”
“Our collaboration with Levi9 accelerates our operational capabilities and allows us to attract the best engineering talent in Iași … The added value of Levi9 has been impressive so far and promising for our collaboration in the future,” says Friso Westra, chief information officer for AACB, in a prepared statement.
