Mark Beeston Leaves ICAP to Launch Start-Up
Mark Beeston has confirmed that he has left his position as CEO of the Post Trade Risk and Information division of interdealer broker ICAP last month and has founded Illuminate Financial Management. Beeston will serve as CEO of the new company, which has just launched.
Misys Fills MEA Post
Software solutions provider Misys has appointed Scot Spear as its new regional sales director for Middle East and Africa, officials say. Spear joins from P2 Energy Solutions where he was responsible for the MEA sales team and EMEA Channel Partners.
At Misys, Spear will oversee new business development and client relationships across the MEA region, officials say.
Spear has more than 25 years of software sales and marketing experience. Prior to joining P2 Energy Solutions, he served as senior vice president of global sales and marketing at Apex Analytix. He also spent nine years with Ventyx, a provider of software and consulting solutions to the global energy and utility industry.
RJO Hires from Phillip Futures for New SVP Post
Chicago brokerage and clearing firm R.J. O’Brien & Associates (RJO) has hired Robert A. Keeley from Phillip Futures for the new role of senior vice president, institutional sales and business development, officials say.
In addition, Keeley will supplement the efforts of RJO’s Enterprise Solutions sales team, offering private label facilities management services to buy-side and sell-side firms in which futures are not the primary business, officials say. RJO offers customized solutions ranging from front-office execution capabilities to back-office operations.
Keeley who has two decades of experience most recently served as senior vice president, director of sales and business development for Phillip Futures, officials say. Before Phillip Futures, he spent 10 years at Newedge USA (formerly Fimat USA), where he was senior vice president, institutional sales in the institutional relationship management group and first vice president in the Institutional Sales Group.
New Etrali MD Is from Orange Business Services
Etrali Trading Solutions has appointed François Delaunay as executive vice president of global sales and managing director for France and Italy, officials say. Delaunay joins from Orange Business Services where he was the global account director for BNP Paribas.
Delaunay will be based in Paris and will be part of the executive committee, reporting into Etrali CEO, Lionel Grosclaude, officials say. He is responsible for the company’s major accounts, overseeing business development and coordinating distribution channels.
Delaunay has more than 15 years’ experience, having built his career at IBM in various financial services sales management positions. He replaces Raphael Guilley who is now executive vice president of Global Solutions. Guilley will be responsible for marketing, R&D, production, IT and procurement.
Fundtech Names Head of US Sales and MD for EMEA Sales
Transaction banking solutions provider Fundtech has appointed Kyle McGaffey as head of sales – Americas and has hired Peter Reynolds as managing director for Fundtech EMEA Sales, officials say.As head of Fundtech’s Americas sales initiatives, McGaffey is responsible for regional sales personnel, and for driving regional sales strategy. He reports to Chris Zingo, global head of sales, officials say.
McGaffey most recently served as head of sales at Thomson Reuters, where he managed a team of professionals selling quantitative solutions to hedge funds, asset managers and global banks, officials say. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, McGaffey held positions with RiskMetrics Group, Bloomberg, Utendahl Capital Partners, and Merrill Lynch.
As the head of EMEA sales, Reynolds is responsible for driving regional strategy and managing local teams, officials say. Like McGaffey, he will report to Zingo.
Most recently, Reynolds led the EMEA sales initiatives for treasury and risk management solutions provider, Reval. Prior to joining Reval, he was a sales director at Thomson Financial. He began his career as a relationship manager at HSBC Bank.
Fundtech has also hired Mattia Bruzzi, senior sales executive, global sales and named Nihit Ahuja to the EMEA sales team, officials say. The company is in the process of further expanding its direct presence in the EMEA region.
NASDAQ OMX Launches Bangalore Office
NASDAQ OMX has opened a new office in Bangalore which will focus on developing new technologies and enhancing current solutions, including the next generation Investor Relations platform, officials say. “Our Bangalore team will collaborate with colleagues across the globe,” says Bob Waghorne, senior vice president, global technology services, NASDAQ OMX.
