Broadridge Financial Solutions, a provider of investor communications solutions for broker-dealers, banks, mutual funds and corporate issuers, has appointed James M. Young chief financial officer and corporate vice president, effective June 23, 2014.
A technology and financial services processing veteran, Young held senior finance roles at credit card giant Visa Inc., which he joined in 2006, most recently serving as senior vice president, finance, responsible for global financial planning and analysis for Visa’s businesses in North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a Broadridge statement. Prior to that, he served as Visa’s head of corporate finance.
Before joining Visa, Young was a finance executive at early stage technology companies Arena Solutions and Grand Central Communications, according to Broadridge.
“Jim’s deep background in technology-based services and global processing complements both Broadridge’s business and growth aspirations,” Rich Daly, Broadridge’s president and CEO, says in the statement.
Young replaces Dan Sheldon, who left Broadridge in April after serving as its CFO since it became an independent public company in 2007.
Michael Liberatore and David Lisa, who had served as Broadridge’s acting principal financial officer and acting principal accounting officer, respectively, since the Sheldon departure, will remain with the company but will no longer serve in their interim posts.
