Calypso Technology is expanding its operations in Canada, opening a brick-and-mortar office in Toronto to service its growing portfolio of customers in the country.
Located in the financial district, the new office will serve “as a sales, support and professional services hub” for customers including Toronto Dominion Bank and several of Canada’s other largest banks,” according to a company statement.
A financial software and services company, Calypso offers integrated cross-asset platforms for trading, risk, processing and control, and serves more than 170 customers in more than 70 countries.
Charles Marston, chairman and CEO of Calypso, says the decision to open the Toronto office is part of Calypso’s global operating strategy.
“Our operating model has always been to provide local or regional support to customers where feasible,” says Marston in a Calypso statement. “This approach enables us to be more responsive and achieve economies of scale by leveraging local knowledge and skills.”
