The Dallas, Texas-based Capital Institutional Services (CAPIS), an institutional agency brokerage, has promoted industry veteran John P. Naudo to be director of global trading, officials say. Naudo has been serving as the director of international trading.
Naudo will oversee the global equity, fixed income, derivatives, portfolio and transition management trading desk.
“In today’s environment, offering a competitive global trading desk is more important than ever,” says Jim Morrow, chief operating officer for CAPIS in a prepared statement. “During John’s time managing the international trading desk, we saw business grow by nearly 100 percent. With his extensive experience and keen understanding of what clients need, we expect that trend to continue as he takes over the global trading desk.”
Naudo has more than 20 years of industry experience including 12 years as the director of pan-European equities sales trading at Credit Suisse in London, officials say. He also worked on Merrill Lynch’s desk as a pan-European equities sales trader. An FSA-registered equities and derivatives representative, Naudo maintains Series 3, 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
CAPIS specializes in global agency trading, research and commission management programs for asset managers, plan sponsors and broker-dealers, officials say.
