Cheevers and Company, a Chicago-based institutional brokerage firm, has gone live with SS&C MarketTrader as its order management system (OMS) via the cloud as a way to stay on top of its growing business, say vendor and firm officials.
Officials at Cheevers say MarketTrader will enable the firm to “operate more efficiently at every step of the trading process: from order capture to execution, transaction and compliance reporting, in the U.S. and internationally,” according to a prepared statement.
Cheevers offers clients a variety of high-touch execution services for domestic and international equities, according to the firm.
“Partnering with SS&C allows us to leverage their expertise and cloud technology, providing our clients with a superior customer experience,” said Kathleen Cheevers, founder, CEO and chairwoman of the board of Cheevers. “The SS&C team did a great job of handling our migration, ensuring that we didn’t have any issues with our clients. The transition was seamless.”
The 33-year-old Cheevers is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise and a member of the Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the Securities Investor Protection Corp. (SIPC), according to Cheevers.
