Wall Street Horizon, a provider of single-stock event calendar data services for institutional investors and traders, has named Bruce R. Fador president and chief commercial officer. Fador co-founded the company together with Barry L. Star, managing director, in 2003 and has been an executive advisory board member since 2013.
His mission will be to “help the investment community better manage the ever-critical single-stock event calendar dataset in order for companies to make smarter, more informed decisions,” the company says in a statement.
Fador is an industry veteran, whose more than 25 years of experience includes executive posts at Thomson First Call, WorldStreet Corp., Weiss Ratings (acquired by TheStreet.com) and Financial Research Corp., according to the statement, which also notes that he has recently consulted for companies including Kuberre Systems, Recognia and Morningstar.
“There is real alpha resulting from our data,” Fador says in the statement. “By helping companies realize this — accurate and timely corporate events data can become a more powerful weapon in their data and research arsenal.”
Fador is “deeply rooted” in Wall Street Horizon and has a reputation as a leader in the financial services industry “who has successfully helped grow businesses,” says co-founder Star. “As we look to expand, I am pleased to have him lead several large scale initiatives in 2015,” he says.
