Compliance Science (CSI), a vendor of governance, risk management and compliance solutions, reports that Scott Puma has joined as its new chief financial officer.
Puma brings more than 20 years of experience to CSI, including financial management, operations, accounting, auditing and IPO/fundraising expertise with technology start-ups, the company says in a statement. He has developed financial and operational groups from inception and has implemented proper procedures, management and reporting to prepare companies for high growth, officials say.
“Scott joins CSI with an established track record in organically growing enterprise value at several start-up companies, as well as leading numerous successful capital raises,” Mitchel Kraskin, CSI CEO and co-founder, says in a prepared statement.
Most recently, from 2012 to 2014, Puma served as vice president of finance at Axial, an online network for professionals operating, advising, financing or acquiring private companies. Prior to Axial, he was vice president of finance and administration at TheMarkets.com, which provided institutional investors with real-time equity and fixed-income research.
In addition, Puma has held senior financial and operational positions at Vigilante, Mail.com and Geotek Communications, according to CSI.
