Electra Information Systems, a provider of reconciliation and other post-trade systems for asset managers, wants its clients and others to know that they face no danger of exposure to the so-called Heartbleed Bug, an OpenSSL security vulnerability that has been much in the news lately.
“We take the responsibility of keeping your information protected very seriously,” Electra says in a statement.
The vendor further assures customers that: their accounts are secure; account details were not exposed in the past and remain secure; clients do not need to take any additional action to safeguard information; and there is no need for customers to change passwords.
The company adds that it does use OpenSSL, but not the “affected versions of the software with the ‘Heartbleed Bug.’ ”
