Chad M. Horning, Everence Capital Management’s chief investment officer (CIO) has been named the new president for the company’s mutual fund family, Praxis Mutual Funds, effective March 10, officials say. Everence, whose corporate center is Goshen, Indiana, oversees the Praxis Mutual Funds group.
In addition, Horning will serve as a senior vice president for Everence, “reflecting his responsibility for the company’s financial products and operations,” according to a company statement.
“Chad’s expertise has been critical to our successful management of Everence investment and asset management products and services,” says Ken Hochstetler, Everence’s president and CEO, in a statement. “Adding this new role as president of Praxis Mutual Funds will bring his experience to bear on our goal to expand Praxis services to individuals and organizations,” Hochstetler says.
David C. Gautsche, the outgoing president of Praxis Mutual Funds, is stepping down to become president and CEO of Goodville Mutual Casualty Co. in Pennsylvania.
Horning joined Everence in 1999 as an equity analyst. In addition to his role as CIO, he also serves as co-portfolio manager for the Praxis Value Index Fund, Praxis Growth Index Fund and Praxis Genesis Portfolios.
