Fenergo, a Dublin, Ireland-headquartered provider of regulatory onboarding, entity data and client lifecycle management solutions for investment banks and capital market firms, has expanded into the Asia Pacific region, appointing Brett Hodge as regional head of sales and creating a local team based in Sydney, Australia.
Hodge’s experience includes seven years as manager of Asia for Avox, a U.K.-based subsidiary of clearing and settlement specialist DTCC, preceded by nine years as regional director of algorithmics for the same firm.
“We are already seeing a lot of demand coming from the APAC region, driven in large part by enhanced and new regulatory frameworks being introduced by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS),” March Murphy, Fenergo’s CEO, says in a statement.
The vendor will be offering “the ability to manage the compliance and client and counterparty data and document obligations for multiple regulations simultaneously on a single platform,” Murphy says. Fenergo will also be pitching its centralized source of golden data at the heart of its solutions.
The Sydney expansion follows the opening of offices in Boston and New York this past January, Fenergo notes.
The latest expansion was unveiled during the Enterprise Ireland Trade and Investment mission to Australia, led by Ireland’s Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, who observes, “ICT [information and communications technology] is a key sector which we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs. One of our key aims is to support more Irish companies to export – particularly to high growth markets.”
