Business process outsourcing (BPO) vendor eClerx has appointed Alan Paris as principal for its New York office, a newly-created role, officials say.
Paris will manage financial services accounts and act as global consulting lead. He will also work with the eClerx global client relationship and service delivery teams to expand the vendor’s products and services to meet the industry’s outsourcing needs for operations, finance, regulatory reporting and reference data management. He will be helping clients with FATCA and Dodd-Frank compliance, reference data needs, new reconciliation via new collateral management rules, client onboarding and know your client (KYC) requirements.
Before eClerx, Paris, who has more than 25 years of experience in global financial markets, was executive director at Ernst & Young, where he led the capital markets technology and operations transformation team.
During his four years with E&Y, he worked with businesses across the various sectors of the financial services industry. He has also held senior positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, BearingPoint, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust. At eClerx, Paris will report directly to company co-founder and director Anjan Malik.
Based in India, eClerx employs more than 5,500 employees across its six delivery center offices, including those in Mumbai, Pune and Chandigarh. The outsourcer also has global client relationship locations in New York, London, Silicon Valley, Austin, Dublin and Singapore. eClerx offers operational support, data management and analytics solutions.
