Paladyne Hires from Eagle Investment Systems
Investment management solutions provider Paladyne Systems has hired Paul Cucurullo from rival Eagle Investment Systems to be its senior director of sales, overseeing the vendor’s offering for long-only asset managers and investment advisors, officials say.
In addition to working for Eagle, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, Cucurullo was a managing partner, co-founder and director of business development for IX Partners, which in 2009 was sold to Headstrong, a multinational offshore consulting firm.
A decade before IX Partners, Cucurullo was chief information officer (CIO) at Ark Asset Management, an investment advisor with $34 billion in assets under management.
“Some of the largest, most-sophisticated hedge fund managers use Paladyne to manage their mission-critical business,” says Sameer Shalaby, president of Paladyne Systems in a prepared statement.
Calypso Fills HR Post
Calypso Technology officials have named Jonathan D. Walsh as senior vice president and chief human resources officer; Walsh will report to Kishore Bopardikar, Calypso CEO and president.
Walsh, who has worked for media and financial services companies, most recently served as the executive vice president of human resources for Clear Channel Outdoor where he led the company’s human capital strategy.
Prior to Clear Channel, Walsh had senior human resources leadership positions with Washington Mutual, which was acquired by JPMorgan Chase.
Walsh has expertise in compensation and benefits, learning and development, performance and talent management and organizational effectiveness, officials add. Walsh’s objectives include hiring top talent to add to Calypso’s global staff of more than 700 employees across 17 offices worldwide.
Orange Business Services Expands Team in London
The London-based Orange Business Services—Trading Solutions, a provider of voice and electronic trading infrastructure and services, has expanded its UK team with the appointment of Nigel Warner, managing director, UK, and Brad Gorton, UK sales director, officials say.
Warner, who joins from competitor IPC Systems, will be responsible for new business generation and customer support. He was most recently a global account director managing strategic relationships with for tier-one institutions. He also served as EMEA global account manager for networking products and services giant Cisco Systems and has worked for BT plc, Colt and Cable and Wireless.
Gorton will oversee a team of five consultants responsible for sales in dealer boards, networks, data, voice recording, mobile voice recording and private branch exchange (PBX) infrastructures.
Previously, Gorton worked for voice systems vendor Speakerbus where he held roles as head of sales—EMEA, UK sales manager and sales consultant.
