SIX, Murex, NRI and Broadridge take top honors as voters have picked the winners in the FTF News Technology Innovation Awards for 2018.
Providers of established and cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain ledgers and artificial intelligence are getting the spotlight in the winners’ circle of the annual FTF News Technology Innovation Awards for 2018, the eighth time that Financial Technologies Forum (FTF) has recognized achievements in the securities operations industry.
Other than the Editor’s Choice award, qualified industry participants selected this year’s winners after an online nomination process. FTF and the FTF News editorial team approved the nominees but did not pick the ultimate winners.
Among the top vote-getters are: SIX for Service Provider of the Year; Murex – MX.3 for Software Solution of the Year; Nomura Research Institute (NRI) for Best Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Initiative; and Broadridge for Best Blockchain Initiative of the Year.
The awards process also recognizes outstanding individuals via the honors for:
- The FinTech Person of the Year: Johan Toll, head of blockchain product management at Nasdaq;
- The Ops Business Person of the Year: Michael Alexander, president of North America Wealth and Capital Markets Solutions, Broadridge;
- and the Editor’s Choice Award: Cheryl Nash, president of Investment Services at Fiserv.
Seven years ago, FTF established the awards to celebrate and recognize the professionals, financial technology vendors, service providers, industry bodies and regulators that have made significant strides and noteworthy achievements in operational excellence.
“We are thrilled to congratulate the 2018 FTF News Technology Innovation Awards winners,” says Maureen Lowe, president and founder of FTF and publisher of FTF News. “The FinTech industry for securities operations is a highly competitive one so to be recognized by clients, peers, and FTF News readers as the best in their respective categories, speaks volumes about their commitment to innovation, industry leadership and their outstanding achievements. We look forward to celebrating with the winners in person at the FTF Gala at the Dream Hotel Downtown on June 14.”
The 2018 gala awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 14, at the Dream Hotel Downtown, 355 West 16 St., New York, NY 10011.
