The competition — now in its 13th year — reflects an industry facing digital transitions, a controversial T+1 deadline, and a final battle to end manual processes.
Financial Technologies Forum (FTF) has unveiled the nominations for the 2024 FTF News Technology Innovation Awards competition, and the list of nominees reflects the dynamics of an industry facing digital transitions, a major effort to shorten settlement, and a final push to eliminate manual processes.
The winners of the FTF Awards competition are chosen by their peers in the securities operations industry via a vetted voting process. The awards process, begun in 2011, recognizes the operational excellence of professionals, financial technology vendors, service providers, and industry bodies that had significant achievements in the 2023 calendar year.
With the nominations officially announced, the voting begins April 3 and closes May 3. The winners will be announced June 3. An annual gala celebrating the winners and their guests will be held in New York City later in June.
