The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) has added two new directors and re-elected 10 members to its board of directors, ISDA officials say.
The two new directors are:
- Yasunobu Arima, general manager, Global Markets Planning Division, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd (BTMU);
- And Sam Skerry, global head of structured products and IST commercial support, BP.
Arima has been responsible for global regulatory affairs relating to derivatives and market business since 2012, officials say. After joining BTMU in 1987, he was responsible for retail banking (1987-1990) and derivatives business in Tokyo (1990-1995), structuring (1995-2000) and equity proprietary trading (2000-2002) in London, and equity secondary business planning (2002-2010) and head of equity research (2010-2012) at the bank’s security subsidiary in Tokyo.
Ms. Skerry, who is based in London, leads a global cross-commodity derivatives marketing team and central marketing, strategy and trading analytics functions, officials say. She previously served as BP’s chief operating officer (COO) for gas, where she led the company’s natural gas marketing, origination and transportation operations for North America. Skerry has held a number of international leadership roles in BP for a broad range of global businesses, including senior vice president for strategy and commercial development. Skerry was part of the core transaction team responsible for the creation and financial structuring of the former TNK-BP joint venture in Russia and is a former director of Green Mountain Energy Company.
The 10 directors who were re-elected are:
- Keith Bailey, managing director, market structure, Barclays;
- Nitin Gulabani, global head of FX, rates and credit trading, Standard Chartered Bank;
- Rich Herman, head of global fixed income and currencies (FIC), Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc.;
- Kieran Higgins, head of trading, corporate & institutional banking, The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc.;
- Jonathan Hunter, global head of fixed income and currencies, RBC Capital Markets;
- TJ Lim, global head of markets, UniCredit;
- Eric Litvack, managing director, head of regulatory strategy, Société Générale global banking and investor solutions;
- Christopher Murphy, global co-head of FX, Rates and Credit, UBS Investment Bank;
- Ciaran O’Flynn, managing director, global co-head of fixed income electronic trading, Morgan Stanley;
- And Emmanuel Ramambason, head of global markets VA Trading, BNP Paribas
The new and reelected board members are in addition to 12 incumbent board members, officials say.
