International Securities Exchange Holdings, which operates two U.S. options exchanges, ISE and ISE Gemini, has named one new member to the boards of directors of its two exchanges, while re-electing 11 others, including one competitive market maker (CMM) director, one electronic access member (EAM) director, eight non-industry directors, and the CEO director.
The new board member is Jonathan Rosen, a managing director at Citadel Securities, who was elected as a director representing the exchanges’ primary market makers (PMMs). He replaces Michael Juneman, also a managing director at Citadel Securities, whose third and final term on the board expired May 23.
In his current post at Citadel, Rosen is an “architect of Citadel’s automated trading and order routing systems that operate on numerous derivatives markets around the globe,” according to an ISE statement.
Previously, Rosen, who joined Citadel in 2003, was a senior equity options trader. He continues to trade, “on occasion,” according to the statement.
Re-elected board members include Denis Medvedsek, managing director at KCG, and Joseph Sellitto, CEO of Global Execution Brokers, who were re-elected to two-year terms as CMM and EAM directors, respectively; David Krell, Michael Monaco, Andreas Preuβ, Hauke Stars, Joseph Stefanelli, Marcus Thompson, Kenneth Vecchione and Christianna Wood, who were re-elected to serve one-year terms as non-industry directors; and Gary Katz, ISE Holdings’ president and CEO, who also was re-elected to a one-year term as CEO director.
