ISITC Vice Chair Kristin Hochstein will succeed Chair Lisa Iagatta who steps down at the end of 2021.
Industry standards trade group ISITC has named Kristin Hochstein, the current vice chair, to be its new chair for the 2022-23 term, and she will take over for Lisa Iagatta, who will finish her three-year term as chair by the end of this month.
The group, which develops standards and best practices for financial services and securities operations, also announced new board officers for the coming term.
Hochstein, who is global head of reference data and symbology, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), has been working in financial services for more than 20 years. She has been serving as vice chair for the ISITC board since 2018. In addition, she was the executive sponsor of ISITC’s Regulatory Forum and Reference Data and Standards Working Group, according to ISITC.
After her term ends, Iagatta, who is the director of strategic engagements at Securrency, will take on the role of immediate past chair from Erica Borghi, vice president in BHH Infomediary at Brown Brothers Harriman, a post that Borghi has served in for the previous three years, officials say.
“I am incredibly grateful for everyone who has impacted my journey with ISITC, especially in the last year as we worked to collaborate amidst tremendous change,” Iagatta says, in a prepared statement. “I know the future of ISITC is in great hands under Kristin’s leadership as the new Chair. She is a strong leader, immensely knowledgeable, and creative. Her experience and passion for the industry and organization will drive the entire organization forward as she continues to grow ISITC’s success in 2022 and beyond.”
In a statement, Hochstein thanked Iagatta and congratulated her on her years as ISITC chair.
“She has paved the way for me and the entire organization as a whole, and I look forward to continuing her foundational work as we strive to lead financial services operations into the future,” Hochstein says. “With the continuous evolution of the financial services industry, I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside ISITC’s devoted membership to continue the future success of the organization.
In addition to the changes at the top, ISITC has elected a new slate of members for its board of directors.
As of the new year, the board officers for the 2022-23 term will be:
- Rich Robinson from Bloomberg LP will become vice chair and Grace Kang will become second vice chair;
- Ana Lotharius from the DTCC will continue in her role as secretary and Charles Mottinger from State Street Bank & Trust Co, have been reelected to the post of treasurer.
ISITC focuses on standards, best practices, operational efficiency, and regulatory guidance for investment managers, broker-dealers, custodians, utilities and technology vendors, officials say. The organization was founded in 1991 and counts more than 2,000 financial services professionals as members.
