Financial technology provider ITRS Group has made Geneos, its IT performance management solution, compatible with B-PIPE, Bloomberg’s real-time market data feed, according to a company statement.
Geneos provides an interface that will allow for advanced monitoring of the data sent through B-PIPE, a normalized and consolidated real-time market data feed for the enterprise. B-PIPE provides coverage of all asset types from a variety of sources and applications.
The Geneos plug-in for B-PIPE monitors the status of market data feeds and allows B-PIPE users to set alerts and closely monitor performance, according to the statement.
The Geneos plug-in will be able to display up to 30 B-PIPE service instances on the same screen, allowing financial institutions to track how busy their appliances are in real-time throughout the day.
“For example, a bank’s operational team will be able to see tick messages sent and received by an appliance and track for any missing data,” according to a statement. From ITRS.
“ITRS is an important Bloomberg Enterprise Solutions partner and this integration is a key component of our overall enterprise real-time strategy,” says Tony McManus, head of real-time market data products for Bloomberg, in a statement. “We are investing in programs that enable developers to connect to Bloomberg to ensure efficiency and interoperability across our clients’ enterprise systems. The ITRS Geneos application will provide support to our B-PIPE customers looking to better monitor market data feeds and application metrics.”
