Chris Rowland, who was named the global head of JPMorgan’s fund services earlier this year, has now become global head of the company’s custody business, confirm JPMorgan officials.
That business includes 25 regional customer service centers “in each region of the world and a network of sub-custodians covering more than 90 markets,” according to JPMorgan, as well as “10,000-strong custody professionals.”
Rowland will report to Nick Rudenstine, global head of custody and fund services, according to a JPMorgan statement.
Rowland’s direct reports in fund services will now report to Stephanie Miller, global head of fund services and alternative investment services.
Prior to his fund-services post, Rowland was global head of fund accounting.
In his new position, he replaces Andrew Betts, who is leaving the company. Betts had headed the custody business for the past 18 months, and was previously global head of supply chain for JPM’s global trade in treasury services.
