Financial technology provider Lombard Risk Management has promoted John Groetch to managing director for the Americas, just five months after Groetch joined Lombard in April as regional sales manager, according to a company statement.
“Based on his overall performance since this time, in addition to his management and mentoring skills, executives were eager to expand his role,” according to the statement.
At his new job Groetch will be in charge of strengthening Lombard’s organizational structure in the Americas and driving business development efforts there, officials say.
“We are delighted to have John Groetch oversee our Americas region,” says John Wisbey, Lombard Risk’s CEO. “With his over two decades of experience, he is well-equipped for this role. We expect the Americas to continue to be a fast-growing market for us and are particularly keen to be able to capture more of the regional regulatory, collateral management and compliance opportunities that exist.”
Prior to Joining Lombard Groetch developed and executed the sales and go-to-market strategy for Markit Analytics, and before that worked as head of risk sales at Calypso USA. He was also chief operating officer for Razor Risk Technologies and CEO and co-founder of Treasury Management Systems, Inc.
