Imagine Software, a provider of financial risk and portfolio management solutions, reports that Perennial Value Management, part of an investment firm based in Australia, has selected Imagine’s cloud-based service for risk mitigation in its long-equity shares trust.
Perennial manages $8.2 billion on behalf of institutional and retail clients, according to Imagine.
“Imagine can easily aggregate extremely complex positions, capture risk, and manage equity derivatives, allowing us to successfully generate the returns expected by our Wealth Defender investors,” Dan Bosscher, portfolio manager at Perennial Value, says in a statement. “Imagine has a deep understanding of the derivatives space, and we rely on the firm’s technical precision and accuracy to effectively manage risk and provide our clients with the appropriate protection strategies.”
Bosscher also singles out Imagine’s “on-the-ground team in Australia” as being “instrumental in helping Perennial Value to build a customized system.”
Imagine, founded in 1993 and headquartered in New York City, with offices in Hong Kong, London, and Sydney, is privately held, and was “first to launch a cloud-based portfolio and risk management system in 2000,” the company says.
Perennial Value Management is one of five ”investment management boutiques” operated by Perennial Investment Partners (PIP), which is licensed in Australia, the U.S. and Ireland. Each PIP boutique specializes in the investment management of a separate asset class.
In addition to Perennial Value Management Ltd., the boutiques are: Perennial Growth Management Pty Ltd., Perennial Real Estate Investments Pty Ltd., Perennial Fixed Interest Partners Pty Ltd., and the Perennial International Equities Management Team.
Perennial Value Management currently offers four Australian share investment capabilities, according to the company. They are Perennial Value Australian Shares, Perennial Value Shares for Income, Perennial Value Smaller Companies, and Perennial Value Australian Shares Wealth Defender.
