Simon Winn has joined EBS, the electronic FX business of interdealer broker ICAP, as head of sales, Asia Pacific, according to a company statement.
In his new role, Winn “will be responsible for driving new business in Asia Pacific across the expanding EBS product suite and for increasing EBS’s footprint in the region,” according to the statement.
Prior to joining EBS, Winn was head of sales for Asia at 360T Trading Networks, a provider of automated trading technology. Before that, Winn also worked as head of e-FX Sales for Asia at Commerzbank and spent 10 years at Société Générale as both a spot FX chief dealer and director of spot FX in Singapore and Hong Kong.
“As we expand our reach in the region to many more customers and prepare for the rollout of new products, we are strengthening our sales capabilities,” says Gerard Varjacques, global head of sales at EBS and Winn’s new boss, in a written statement.
ICAP acquired EBS in 2006.
