Industry veteran Phil Lynch is the new global head of markets, products and strategy, at SIX Financial Information, confirm officials at the market data and services provider, based in Zurich, Switzerland.
“Mr. Lynch is part of SIX. He actually started working for SIX Financial Information yesterday, April 1,” says a company spokesperson in an email message.
Before SIX Financial, Lynch was head of global account management — asset management at SunGard, from February 2013 to March 2015.
Lynch has also served as CEO for Asset Control from April 2007 to February 2013, a venture partner for Fidelity Ventures from February 2006 to April 2007, according to his LinkedIn website page. He also served as the CEO for Reuters America from September 2001 to January 2006.
Lynch did not respond to a request for comment from FTF News.
Known for its market data products, SIX Financial operates the Swiss Exchange and the SIX Structured Products Exchange Ltd. The vendor also provides reference data for about 35,000 Swiss securities, and offers services for cash and securitized derivatives markets such as clearing and settlement, securities custody, and the maintenance of shares and special registers.
