Portland, Ore.-headquartered Smarsh, a provider of hosted archiving solutions for e-mail, social media compliance and e-discovery, reports that Allen Muhich has been named chief financial officer (CFO).
A 20-plus-year financial-industry veteran, Muhich most recently was CFO at Radisys, where he “drove significant integration activities while maintaining a strong focus on financial business partnering, organizational effectiveness and process improvement,” according to a Smarsh statement.
Vendor officials also note that Muhich served in “financial leadership roles” at such companies as Tripwire, Tektronix, Merix Corp. and Xerox, and that he brings to Smarsh a “track record of fostering a scalable, results-driven culture within fast-growing technology businesses.”
Muhich’s “expertise fills a need for our company as we capitalize on the substantial growth we continue to experience on a global scale,” Stephen Marsh, company founder and CEO, says in the statement.
Smarsh, which recently acquired Presensoft, an instant message archiving specialist, “helps more than 20,000 organizations meet regulatory compliance, e-discovery and record retention requirements,” the company says. It also maintains offices in New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and London.
