Fairgreen Capital is using Eze Eclipse and the Black Diamond Client Experience (CX) Portal and Salentica Engage get updates.
Fairgreen Capital Ltd., a London-based investment management firm that launched this year, is using Eze Eclipse, a cloud-based investment solution from SS&C Technologies (SS&C), to support its investment operations.
The client win was announced at the annual SS&C Deliver 2019 client conference underway at the Orlando Gaylord Palms resort from Sept. 17 to 19.
“Fairgreen uses Eze Eclipse for trading, order management and accounting, monitoring P&L, modeling, NAV and positions management, as well as reporting and connectivity to its prime broker and administrator,” according to SS&C officials.
The front-to-back-office investment management platform supports the new firm’s market-neutral equity strategies, its compliance needs and risk management “throughout the investment management process,” officials say.
The firm chose Eze Eclipse “to automate investment processes for its global structural growth equity fund. The implementation took a month from start-to-finish,” according to SS&C and Fairgreen officials.
“When we set out to launch our fund, we were looking for an investment management system provider with a strong reputation, low cost of ownership and flexible, easy-to-use solutions to connect us to the market,” says Ben Hakham, chief investment officer (CIO) of Fairgreen Capital, in a prepared statement. “Eze Eclipse enabled us to get up and running quickly and efficiently with no infrastructure costs and excellent mobility that comes with a web-based platform,” Hakham says.
SS&C looks “forward to supporting their operations as the fund grows,” says Jeffrey Shoreman, senior vice president and general manager for SS&C Eze, in a statement.
Separately, SS&C officials also announced product updates for its Black Diamond Client Experience (CX) Portal and the latest version of Salentica Engage, formerly known as Salentica CRM (customer relationship management).
The CX portal is a cloud-based platform intended to help advisors “maintain a collaborative dialogue with clients,” according to SS&C. Several wealth management technology providers will offer integration with the CX portal service’s relatively new “Relationship Timeline” feature.
“Relationship Timeline will actively integrate with SS&C Salentica, RightCapital, SMArtX, Redtail Technologies, Asset-Map, Riskalyze and LifeYield,” SS&C officials say. The CX portal launched in May 2018 and more than 80 percent of Black Diamond users have adopted the latest client interaction features, including the Relationship Timeline, which went live in August. The feature helps advisors communicate financial “opportunities and milestones” for clients.
“Advisory firms are looking to transform the way they connect with their customers,” says Shuang Chen, co-founder and CEO of a CX portal integration partner, RightCapital, in a prepared statement,
SS&C officials also announced that its latest version of Salentica Engage, created via the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and supported by Microsoft Azure, is live on Microsoft AppSource.
The updated Salentica Engage offers:
- Access to cloud-based business applications on Microsoft AppSource such as Microsoft Power BI for business intelligence and Microsoft Teams for workplace communication;
- A relationship record panel that offers “all-in-one view of client familial relationships;”
- Interactive dashboards with web design principles for device viewing and user experience support;
- And Microsoft Flow support for automated interaction summary emails to advisors, letting them know which clients to contact about upcoming deadlines.
