SenaHill Partners Hires a FinTech Specialist Consultant
SenaHill Partners, LP, a financial technology specialist merchant bank, reports the appointment of T. Rowe Price veteran Todd Ruppert to “help steer the firm’s international advisory initiatives” and to “help drive global expansion.”
Ruppert will serve as a consultant to help drive the firm’s international expansion and will “capitalize on global opportunities throughout the FinTech ecosystem,” according to SenaHill officials.
In 2012, Ruppert retired from T. Rowe Price, where he had been CEO and president of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services, co-president of T. Rowe Price International, and a member of the operating steering committee of the T. Rowe Price Group, the bank says. He is also the “founder and CEO of Ruppert International, a firm with diversified interests globally in various fields including financial services, disruptive technologies, education and strategy consulting.”
Ruppert also serves as a venture partner at Greenspring Associates, a venture capital firm with more than $5 billion under management, officials add.
GBST Names Head of Business Development for EMEA
GBST, which provides wealth administration software through its Composer platform, has appointed Darren Bayley as head of business development for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Bayley will report to David Simpson, head of EMEA.
Bayley joins from SEI Investments, where he was U.K. business development director, with responsibility across retail banks, major advisory firms, asset managers and D2C Investment platforms.
He has spent nearly 20 years in financial services and technology, including positions at Standard Life, Focus Solutions Group Plc, Marlborough Stirling Group and Synaptic Systems, GBST says.
AXA IM Shuffles Sales Executives
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has named Francisco Arcilla as its global head of sales. He will be based in Paris and will join AXA IM’s management board. Previously, he was AXA IM’s CEO for Japan.
Masahiro Shuto, who first joined AXA IM in 2012 as a sales manager covering Japanese large cap institutional investors, has been named new Japan CEO and head of the client group in Japan, per AXA.
Arcilla joined the firm in 2011 as chief investment officer and global head of funds of hedge funds, according to a statement, which notes also that, in July 2012, he was appointed to run the newly created external managers group, which combined the hedge fund, impact investing and long-only multi-management groups.
In November 2014, Arcilla was appointed director of product development for AXA Rosenberg, which is based in Orinda, Calif., and was formerly known as Rosenberg Investment Management Group.
Prior to joining AXA IM, Arcilla was co-head of investments at Swiss alternative investments boutique EIM SA, AXA says, noting that, before joining EIM in June 2008, he “spent eleven years as a buy-side trader for several global institutions, specialized in credit and fixed income relative value strategies, both in developed and emerging markets.”
He began his career in 1994 as an analyst in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch in London, per the statement.
AXA Investment Managers is part of the French multinational AXA Group, which tallies approximately €747 billion ($852 billion) in assets under management (as of the end of March 2017), more than 2,450 employees, and 29 offices in 21 countries.
AIM Software Grows Professional Services Team for Europe
AIM Software, a buy-side enterprise data management software vendor, has appointed Anuraj Soni as the global head of professional services and Amina Loznica as the head of professional services Europe, officials say.
Soni will report to CEO Gayatri Raman and will assume overall responsibility for AIM Software implementations globally, officials
say. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services delivery and has a track record of building organizations, “helping firms to scale to the next level of growth, and creating strong teams,” officials say.
Before joining AIM, Soni was chief operating officer (COO) at Magic Software, and his background includes senior management positions at Headstrong, the Bank of America in New York and Goldman Sachs, officials add.
Loznica will be responsible for professional services operations in Europe and will report to Soni, officials say. She joined AIM Software in 2003 and has held a variety of leadership positions across technology, product design and project delivery.
She has more than 13 years of experience in the capital markets industry, and has focused on the design and implementation of best-in-class data management solutions. Prior to her time at AIM Software, Loznica had IT consulting roles at Raiffeisen Zentral Bank and Tscheinig & Partner.
