Market research firm, the Tabb Group has promoted Anthony J. Perrotta, Jr. and Andy Nybo to the level of partners and global heads of research and consulting in an effort to forge stronger relationships with banking, institutional investor, exchange and IT vendor clients, officials say.
Larry Tabb, founder and CEO of the Tabb Group, says Perotta and Nybo have been appointed to the financial markets research and consulting firm’s executive management committee.
Perrotta is directing all aspects of the firm’s client management, business development, and research content development while Nybo is directing the firm’s research activities including equities, listed derivatives, fixed income and technology, officials say.
Nybo has been with Tabb Group for more than nine years, joining the firm in 2006 as a senior analyst and was promoted to principal and head of derivatives in March 2009. He currently focuses on listed and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives markets. He has more than 25 years of experience in research and technology applications in global capital markets, officials say.
Before Tabb, Nybo led marketing and communications at MarketAxess, managing media relations during its IPO in 2004, officials say. Prior to MarketAxess, he was a senior analyst with market research firm TowerGroup. Earlier in his career, Nybo was vice president, director of research at The Bond Market Association, now part of SIFMA, responsible for all aspects of their fixed income market research activities.
Perrotta, a 25-year veteran of the fixed income markets, joined Tabb in June 2014 as head of fixed income research. He serves institutional investors from all
fixed-income disciplines, focusing on market structure, regulatory reform, trading, technology, business models, compliance, central clearing, market data and operational issues impacting government bond, corporate bond, OTC swaps and other derivative, municipal, short-term securities and mortgage-backed securities markets in the US, Europe and Asia, officials say.
Perrotta was previously head of credit product trading and co-head of derivatives product trading at Tradeweb Markets after serving as head of both dealer relationship management and the DealerAxess trading unit at MarketAxess, overseeing construction of the liquidity pool and managing their primary e-trading business, officials say. Past positions include leverage fund sales management at Barclays Capital in Asia and overseeing the structured trading product group at Lehman Brothers as senior director in New York and Asia. He began his career at Morgan Stanley.
“As the financial industry continues undergoing significant regulatory reform, market structure changes and business model adaptation,” says Tabb in a prepared statement. “We wanted to forge even stronger relationships with our banking, institutional investor, exchange and IT vendor clients. Anthony and Andy are bringing greater structure to our research program, enhancing the quality of our international research, analytics and advisory services.”
