Transaction platform provider Trading Technologies International, Inc., a Chicago-based provider of trading software, reports that Brian Mehta, who was most recently at Motorola, has been named chief marketing officer (CMO).
Mehta will be responsible for “advancing the company’s brand, managing new product launches and leading all public outreach,” according to a TT statement. He will report directly to CEO Rick Lane.
Mehta joins Trading Technologies from Motorola Mobility, where he served as head of North America marketing. At Motorola, “he oversaw several major marketing initiatives — such as a partnership with the NFL — and product launches for the Droid Razr, Droid Maxx, Moto X and the Moto 360,” according to the vendor statement.
The statement also notes also that Mehta was previously the director of marketing for the Midwest region at U.S. Cellular and has held finance, sales and product management positions at Alcatel and SBC/Ameritech.
Trading Technologies also points out that it is currently rolling out its new trading platform, called TT, to “early-stage users, with broad distribution scheduled to begin in the first half of 2015.
“Delivered via the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, the platform will provide professional traders with even higher levels of performance, functionality and accessibility than traditional trading software,” according to Trading Technologies.
“As we continue to redefine our place in the industry with the launch of the new TT platform, Brian’s leadership and brand acumen will be invaluable,” CEO Lane says in the statement.
